Historically, the Lao entrepreneurial culture is still in its fledgling stage. Since the change from a planned economy to a market economy at the beginning of the 1990s, the authorities are still busy establishing a legal framework for companies. |

In this situation, it is crucial for the development of a successful, thriving and sustainable SME culture to infuse knowledge on Entrepreneurship and SME Management. Due to the past, there exists little knowledge on these subjects. Subsequently, know-how and skills have to be acquired by the Lao society. This is necessary in order to get an idea of what a market economy is and how to found companies that can compete with national and international businesses. Facilitating this development, training centers evolved to assist people with these challenges, guide them through the initial stage and provide the necessary information to successfully maintain a company. |

Our center was founded in 2004 in order to target this aim. We do thus have years of experience on the matter and have developed into a leading information source for entrepreneurs in Lao PDR. International cooperations such as for example with ILO (International Labor Organization) ensure the quality of our trainings. Apart from the trainings on Entrepreneurship, Management and IT, we offer extensive After Training Services. We also are busy translating textbooks into the Lao language in order to provide important information for Lao entrepreneurs.
